BRC patient representatives

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed members of the public to contribute to their views and perspectives to the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at The Royal Marsden and Institute of Cancer Research. 

  • Are you interested in how cancer research is conducted and the difference it can make to the NHS, patients and the public?
  • Can you help us to shape our research strategy?
  • Can you commit to attending regular meetings at our Sutton or Chelsea sites?
  • Are you confident in using e-mail, the internet, and other IT packages?

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed members of the public to contribute to their views and perspectives to the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at The Royal Marsden and Institute of Cancer Research.

We are seeking to appoint five new patient representatives to be members of the BRC Theme Working Groups and the BRC Steering Committee. This is a great opportunity to be partners on our journey to new and better cancer treatments and an improved quality and length of life.

What will be involved?

  • Attending monthly meetings
  • Reading papers and other documentation between meetings
  • Contributing to the decision making process of the BRC

All travel and  childcare expenses are reimbursed for meeting attendances and training. Additionally PPI representatives are paid on an activity basis.
